From a vineyard that Les Behrens and Lisa Drinkward have long exploited, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Moulds comes from the mid-sector of Napa Valley in Oakville. This is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Cabernet Franc. Black as a moonless night, it has terrific extract, richness, and sweet tannin. It is further characterized by stunning purity, equilibrium and loads of blackberry and black raspberry fruit. This is a stunner and truly first-growth in quality, but needs patience. Potential buyers should give it 2-3 years' bottle age and drink over the following 25 or more years. This is a killer effort from Les Behrens and Lisa Drinkward.
