The vineyard’s southern exposure gives this wine powerful, mature red fruit aromas. Rich and well structured, this will age 12 to 15 years in the bottle.

This will pair well with most meat dishes and cheeses.

Clos de la Barre is a 1.32ha monopole of Jadot in fermage from its Parisian owners. The site is located at the entrance to the village and it ripens fruit early, easily and well. The result is a classic expression of Volnay, with lush, forward, expressive cassis fruit, yet it is not lacking in tannin.

COMMENTARY: The 2019 Louis Jadot Volnay Clos de La Barre is fresh, bright, and lively. The wine stays generous on the palate.
